Tip of the Month, June 2012: Keep These Rolls on Hand

Have you ever tried Sister Schubert’s dinner yeast rolls? If not, you should do so now, because for frozen rolls they are so close to homemade it’s hard to tell the difference. They take no time to heat – 5 to 10 minutes at 350 degrees if they are frozen, 2 to 3 minutes if you thaw them first. These rolls should definitely be a staple in your freezer.

While I love fresh rolls from the bakery, the good thing about Sister Schubert’s rolls is that I don’t have to worry about having any leftovers that might go to waste. They come in a resealable bag so I can use only what I need, and they are absolutely awesome hot out of the oven. Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum!

I can’t remember exactly how much I paid for these at Harris Teeter, but I do know the price was quite reasonable. You also can buy these at Sam’s Club, where I imagine you’d save even more.

I usually serve these as part of a meal, but have also used them as rolls for sliders and other sandwiches, such as chicken or tuna salad.
