This Thursday I’m heading to Seattle to attend the International Food Bloggers Conference and I’m so excited! If it’s anything like last year’s conference in Portland (see my post Portland: Where Roses Bloom, Pinot Flows and Food Bloggers Gather) then it’s going to be a great weekend.
I’m looking forward to meeting other food bloggers who share a passion for great eats and drinks. In addition, there are a number of sessions being offered that sound great and hopefully I’ll learn some new things to make my blog better. On Saturday night, Urbanspoon is hosting a Surprise Saturday Supper with more than a dozen intimate dinner parties at some of the top restaurants in Seattle (locations are being kept secret until the event.) Sounds like a lot of fun!
It’s been a few years since I’ve visited Seattle and I hope the weather is nice. Last time I went to the Space Needle and aquarium as well as Pike Place Market and my favorite Irish Pub, Kells. I hope to at least get back to Kells on this visit. And I’m thinking about going to the Seahawks-Jaguars game on Sunday if I can find a ticket at a decent price. I’d love to see Russell Wilson play as a pro.
One of the cool things about this year’s IFBC is that for food bloggers who have an active blog and agree to write at least three posts about the conference, the cost is only $95. That is truly a bargain. So here’s my first post, with another planned during the conference and the last one when I return home.
Eat, drink and be merry!

Perhaps you could write the Book of Kells. No, wait. That’s already been done…
Yes, Jerry, it has. I would love to see it in person. Road trip to Dublin?
