I recently bought some ground turkey breast that was on sale and decided to make some burgers with part of it. I wanted something with a twist, so I stuffed the burgers with creamy and tangy bleu cheese. Great call! These burgers are moist and juicy even though the turkey is so lean – just look at that melted bleu cheese oozing out in the picture above. They have a wonderful flavor, plus they are so easy to make!
Ingredients (makes 2 burgers)
- ½ lb. ground turkey breast
- ¼ cup sweet onion, diced small
- ¼ cup crumbled bleu cheese
- Worcestershire sauce (several good shakes)
- 1 teaspoon Emeril’s Essence seasoning blend
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Seasoned salt (to taste)
- Fresh ground pepper (to taste)
Preparation
Mix together all of the ingredients except the bleu cheese.
Form into two oblong patties and make a well in the middle of each of them. Add 1/8 cup of bleu cheese crumbles to each burger.
Fold the meat to cover the bleu cheese and form into round patties making sure the bleu cheese is sealed.
Grill according to taste, but at least until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.
Serve on fresh sesame-seed buns with mayonnaise, avocado and tomato slices.
Bon appétit!
Eat, drink and be merry!

I think you will really like it, especially if you’re a bleu cheese fan!
